Michael Harfoot will be speaking at Living Data 2025 in Bogotà, Colombia.

“Harmonizing In Situ and Earth Observation (EO) for Biodiversity Assessment.”

Alongside expert speakers, the session will explore innovative strategies for data fusion, AI-driven biodiversity assessments, and multi-source environmental data integration.

Mike will also highlight the importance of open data through OpenNature - a partnership of researchers, NGOs, and private organizations working to make biodiversity knowledge open, integrated, and actionable - as well as OpenNatureAI, leverages AI to combine diverse data sources (maps, reports, APIs, EO data) to estimate the status of data-poor species and regions, making knowledge accessible to all.
